Located in the beautiful area of Rochester, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy of the St. John Fisher College is one of the newest pharmacy schools in the United States of America. It is, however, fully accredited. Just like all the schools composing the college, this one is private too. While the St. John Fisher College has been established in 1948, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy opened its doors in 2006. It is clearly the first pharmacy school that serves Rochester and the surroundings. The pharmacy was founded with Robert Wegman’s generous donation, hence the name. The off campus tuition costs $9,900. There are multiple fees that may apply too, including the living allowance, which costs more than $11,000. All in all, the off campus total costs go up to $23,778. While the commuter tuition is the same, the living allowance is $1,500 only, so the total costs are $14,120. The pharmacy school is still new, but it has moved pretty fast. It was accredited in 2010, while its graduates have a decent rate of employment, so it is definitely worth a shot. The doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree can be taken after four years only. However, students are required to complete two years of pre-professional education as well.
