University of South Florida is located near the beautiful Tampa Bay on the West Coast. They offer more than 240 degree courses for undergraduates and graduates, one of them is Pharmacy. Though the University was established in 1956 the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was only founded in 2009. The total number of students enrolled for the course is 53 and the number of faculty to teach the same is 28 making the student – faculty ratio to be 1.9:1.
University of South Florida – Pharmacy College offers to its student only a degree in PharmD. The acceptance rate is 9.4% and out of 636 applicants only 60 of them were admitted. For admission to PharmD course the average GPA required is 3.2 and the average PCAT percentile required is 65. The applicant must fall in the age range of 21-34 and for admission the students have to undergo interview, show their PCAT score, PharmCAS and supplemental application. The school has won American Association of College of Pharmacy awards.
