Established in Baltimore, the University of Maryland hosts the oldest pharmacy school in the state. It is one of the two pharmacy schools located in Baltimore. It is also public and has a 60 acre wide campus.

The university was founded in 1807. However, the school of pharmacy was introduced in 1841. It was the first school of this kind in Maryland, as well as the fourth pharmacy school in the United States of America.

The tuition costs depend on several factors. The in state tuition costs $572 per credit. On the other hand, the out of state tuition is $1030 per credit. However, there are several other fees that may apply, such as the costs for manuals, transportation or accommodation.

Since this is one of the oldest pharmacy institutions in the country, there are no doubts that the University of Maryland is also one of the most prestigious ones. In 2012, it was ranked seventeenth among pharmacy schooling institutions in the United States of America.

Students can opt between three different programs – Epidemiological Outcomes (SEOW), Mental Health (MHP) or Patients, Pharmacists Partnerships (P3). The curriculum and number of credits obviously depend on the chosen program. Each of them is accredited.
