Loma Linda University (LLU) is a Seventh-day Adventist educational health-sciences institution with more than 4,000 students located in Southern California. Eight schools comprise the University organization. Loma Linda University was established back in 1905.
More than 55 programs are offered by the schools of Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Religion and Behavioral Health.
Students from more than 80 countries around the world and virtually every state in the nation are represented in Loma Linda University’s student body. LLU also offers distance education. Its school of pharmacy is already a well established one and its first batch of students were admitted in the fall semester of 2012.
The university runs a 4 year program that after its completion leads to a Pharm.D degree and is the first degree that a student can attain in pharmacy. The students of this university have managed to attain a high NAPLEX and CPJE pass rate. The role of pharmacists have expanded significantly in the last 2-3 decades and it continues to be the same in the years to come.
