University of Louisiana at Monroe

Located in a central position, the University of Louisiana at Monroe is one of the most popular public institutions in the city, especially since it is part of a prestigious university. It was initially opened in 1931. It was originally known as the Ouachita Parish Junior College. It has the current name since 1991.
