Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) is located in Edwardsville, Illinois. The SIUE School of Pharmacy  has been in existence since 2005 and offers one of the top programs in the country as far as pharmaceutical sciences go. They were awarded in 2011 with  a national award for Outstanding Institutional Practices in Student Learning Outcomes, the only college of pharmacy in the country to receive such an award. They are well noted for their small class sizes, which allow for much better interaction among students and instructors for more informative and helpful classes overall.

The SIUE School of Pharmacy offers a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a PharmD/MBA degree in conjunction with the school of business and an Education specialization within the PharmD degree to give students several options in their career path. The tuition at the School of Pharmacy is $23,010.00 for an in-state resident and $26,520.00 for an out-of-state resident. The programs that are offered by the school are quite varied but all include instruction in pharmacy sciences, pharmacy practice and provide experience courses and training so that students can receive practical, real world experience in actual pharmacy settings working beside individuals with great knowledge and understanding of the field so as to give the students better insight into how the practice is conducted.
