The College of Pharmacy at Belmont University is located in Nashville, Tennessee. The College of Pharmacy was founded in 2008 as part of the university plan to help provide quality pharmacy and medical care to the community and surrounding areas in Tennessee. The school works towards creating health professionals who can meet the demanding and changing needs of the pharmacy practice and allows students to work towards a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree, learning the patient-centered approach taught at the school. The program provides studies in the pertinent pharmaceutical sciences along with a classes that provide an understanding of the management and administration of a pharmacy business to go along with practical experience in the community. Classroom work, lectures and laboratory work or all part of the common program and students will work alongside of other medical students involved at the College of Health Sciences on campus.
