University of Puerto Rico – School of Pharmacy is located in San Juan and was founded in 1913. In 1915, it provided a two year program which was changed to 4 years for a Bachelor Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1932. The university is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Educations. The School of Pharmacy has 172 students and as per the US News it is ranked 80th in the country.

University of Puerto Rico offers two programs in Pharmacy that are B.S, M.S and PharmD. The number of faculty members is 33 for 172 students which makes the student – faculty ratio: 5.2:1. The tuition fee for Pharm.D for in-state students is $5316 while the M.S cost for every credit hour for in – state students is $165. The average GPA required to get enrolled is 3.76 and should be in the age range of 20 to 43. To get admission the student will require to undergo interview, show their PCAT score and PharmCAS and provide supplemental application. University of Puerto Rico provides Pharmacy programs which are less expensive when compared to other colleges.
