Located in Kansas City and supporting a wide urban campus of 157 acres, the University of Missouri-Kansas City is the one and only public research pharmacy school in Missouri. It supports more than 16,000 students every year.

The university was first a pharmacy department. It was established in 1898, but it encountered a series of problems before being accredited. Therefore, its official history begins in 1933. Today, it ranks 179th in a yearly report that gathers together all the universities in the world.

Missouri residents have to pay about $10,162 on a yearly basis. The costs include all the associated fees too, as well as services and insurances. Non Missouri residents have to pay two times more – about $21,522. The onsite accommodation is quite expensive. All these fees are subject to change.

The University of Missouri-Kansas City is a main source of pharmacists in Missouri. However, its influence is very low around St. Louis, where a different pharmacy school activates.

The doctorate of pharmacy is the most attractive program for students because it ensures a pharmacy license. On the other hand, the doctoral degree in toxicology and pharmacology is not to be ignored either, as well as the doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
